Manage Purchase Requisitions is one of the module in the SAP Plant Maintenance 360 application. The technician who works on maintenance will raise a purchase request for equipment replacement to fix the malfunction of machines and store supervisors will handle Purchase order and Purchase requisition approvals for the plant procurement process.

Problem Statement
Ensuring smooth operations in a plant heavily relies on the availability of equipment and spare parts. Any delay in the approval process for purchase requisitions and orders can directly impact the maintenance process and production of the industry. Therefore, it is crucial to expedite the approval process to avoid any negative impact on the overall efficiency of the plant.
Researching Problem
To better understand the basic problem, I collaborated with SAP consultants and conducted user interviews to collect quantitative and qualitative data.

How we solved it
I discussed the research insights with my team and brainstormed potential design solutions. To streamline the process, I created multiple sketches of basic design solution flows and chose the best one.
Merge Application
Merged the Create Purchase Requisition and Approve Purchase Requisition applications into a single application to avoid slow loading times.
New Filters
We have introduced enhanced filter options to assist users in locating specific purchase requisitions.
Access to Mobile App
We have created a mobile app for technicians to quickly create notes, purchase requisitions, and check equipment stocks.
Contact Visibility
By displaying the contact information of the approver and creator, communication through call, chat, or email is made easier.
The solution reduced document processing time by 50%, resulting in a 30% increase in industrial production.
Results
Technicians do not have immediate access to any device to capture malfunction.
